SPORT - Athletics

 The Athletics events at the festival, not surprisingly, have a very local, colorful and unique flavor. It consists of 2 events.

The spint has both male and female divisions. All aspiring contestants gather in the middle of the oval. When the gun goes off, the champion is the first person to reach the goal posts. Cash prizes ensure that participants are plentiful, and at times finding a clear run may be an athlete's biggest impediment to claiming the cash.

The second event is sigificantly more demanding. It involves 3 laps of the oval. A lucrative cash prize is again up for grabs, however the more testing distance seems to dictate thats only the most confident and capable of athletes take a position on the start line.
