
FACILITIES AT BARUNGA CAMPING
Camping in the community is free. Visitors are welcome to camp in the community over the three nights and days of the Festival, meeting residents who enjoy the opportunity the festival provides to spend time with friends and family who often travel great distances to take part in both the sports and the cultural programs. Bush toilets, public toilets and ablution blocks with showers are scattered all over the camp grounds. Some areas near the camp ground are ‘Restricted Resident Areas’. Please be respectful of the homes and local residents of the Barunga community. LOCAL ACCOMMODATION

Good quality food and beverage stalls (non-alcoholic) will be available as well as a well stocked store. Fuel is NOT available, you will need to fill up in Katherine. There are BBQ facilities in the camp ground. WEATHER, HEALTH AND SAFETY
In June, the days are hot and sunny and the nights can be very cool. Be sure to bring appropriate clothing. You will need light clothes, hats and sun protection during the day. To enjoy the open air evening concerts you will need warm clothing Bring with you any medicines. You should also bring insect repellant.
